I thought I knew it all. Then I took a training session and found out I didn’t know it all. But now I do! Or at least until I take another training session. Then… well, you get my drift.

All the world is a laboratory to the inquiring mind. So why not inquire about a training program? Training won’t turn you into an Einstein. But, in theory, it should make you mentally faster.

Learning is like good luggage that will follow you everywhere and never get lost at the airport. Don’t ask!

Learn something every day. That’s my motto. Today, for example, I learned something about my digestive system. Cold pizza for breakfast I can handle. But not after a chocolate milkshake, 4 eggs, 3 pieces of fried bacon and a honey-glazed donut.

Want to be successful? Find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do. I kind of modeled my career after Mr. Peanut from Planter's..

A wise human (I think it was Vin Diesel) once said, "Reach for the stars. You may not get there but you're not gonna come up with a handful of filthy mud either." All due respects to Vin. I'd rather be rolling in mud than starring at stars.

My good pal Sal the slug moves at a snail's pace. Which for me is still waaaaaaaay too fast! I can't count the number of times I've said, "Slow down Sal! Where's the race?"

In today’s society, there’s too much focus on speed. Faster this, faster that. If you ask me, speed’s over-rated. Slow and steady wins the race. Good training doesn’t hurt either.

When you come to a fork in the road. Take the fork, especially if it’s attached to a plate of macaroni and cheese. Trust me, you can’t go wrong.

Do you have an itch? A good training session can help. First, it can get you out of your shell. Then you can do some serious scratching.

Don’t wait for your ship to come in. Swim out to it. Sometimes I don’t even wait for a ship. I go for a swim and if a ship comes in…bonus!
